History
In 1970, Ard Veldt founded a pastry shop called Veldt Banket. Ever since then, we have proven ourselves as specialists in our craft. For Mr Veldt, quality and customer-friendliness were top priorities and this is still reflected in our organisation today.
Growth
Whereas demand for our products used to come exclusively from consumers, it later also came from local bakeries. Demand for our products continued to grow, which consequently called for an increase in production capacity. Which is why we chose to move to a larger location in 1999.
Our new production site on the 'De Faktorij' business park in Veenendaal is designed to meet the growing demand for our products, while maintaining our traditional quality. Over the years, we have continued to expand our product range and use flexible packaging to meet the needs of our customers. This has led to the flexibility for customers to have their own products developed and formed into custom-made ranges.
Innovative market
With the recent acquisition of Krakend Vers, we have further expanded our range to include artisanal OnOats oat crackers, oatcakes and granola. Our product development has translated into finding the younger and conscious consumer with their oat crackers. With a constant focus on craft and freshness, Krakend Vers has managed to keep winning over customers.
As of 2023, Veldt Banket and Krakend Vers have continued together under the name Veldt Cookies & Crackers.
